Giving Form to the Employees' Will by Multiplying Each Individual's Strengths

1. Background, Objectives and Motivation
In the area of human resources, we prioritize above all else the creation of an environment that will enable each employee to better understand themselves and envision their own will. A greater understanding of one's own emotions, values, and qualitative strengths as well as the issues to be aware of leads to greater self-acceptance. This in turn stimulates a desire to improve and an eagerness to take on new challenges. I'm also working on initiatives that support self-understanding. This is because I believe that greater understanding of one's self creates a foundation that enables greater appreciation of others' thoughts.

2. Description of Specific Initiatives
We use qualitative diagnostic tools at JGA. Enabling qualitative identification of each employee's qualities, these tools identify the strengths of each and the areas that they should nurture. We began distributing individual support reports to each employee as of this fiscal year, with the aim of promoting greater self-understanding. This endeavor has helped objective identification of the entire organization's strengths and its potential for growth. At the same time, this enabled the securing of personnel who have clearly defined opinions and rationales during the hiring stage. This initiative is also helping our younger employees who still have little experience in the workforce gain a greater appreciation of our policies and philosophy.

3. Going Forward
I intend to continue working on and improving efforts that support better self-understanding and greater satisfaction in one's career. I feel that support for a career plan that is founded on self-understanding greatly contributes to not only the development of individuals but also to the growth of the entire organization. I will continue committing to efforts that will enable more employees to find greater fulfilment at the workplace by helping each and every employee envision and realize their own careers.
