As part of our efforts to create an inviting and rewarding workplace environment for all of our people, the JTB Group actively employs and supports the advancement of individuals with disabilities. We encourage our employees to request the accommodations they need to succeed and strive to provide these accommodation whenever reasonably possible. Through a variety of in-house programs and events, we also seek to raise awareness about disability-related challenges and support the growth and success of every member of our team.
(1) DEIB Seminars
Through lectures by outside experts as well as panel discussions by JTB Group employees, we provide our people with opportunities to acquire practical knowledge about disabilities and workplace accommodations. Our training library also provides anytime access to a growing range of subtitled modules regarding disability issues.
(2) Disability Day
Since 2007, JTB Disability Day has played a key role in the JTB Group's efforts to raise internal awareness about workplace-related disability issues. Held annually in December to coincide with International Day of Persons with Disabilities, events include The JTB Disabilities Summit, which gives employees with disabilities the opportunity to share perspectives and make recommendations to senior management, as well as presentations by para-athletes, etc.
As part of our efforts to create a more inclusive environment, we also encourage the use of technology-based solutions (voice-to-text apps, etc.) and strive to adhere to universal website design principles. In addition, we strive to make training more accessible to all of our colleagues by offering accessible training facilities as well as sign language interpreting.
