Comments from participants

-While the rain was disappointing, we truly appreciated that you considered what was possible and still held the event. It was a great help.
-Although it was disappointing that some programs were canceled due to the rain, it was a valuable experience to see the balloons up close and listen to the lecture about their mechanisms. Thank you very much.
-Thank you for all your hard work from early in the morning. This was my first time attending the Balloon Fiesta, and I hadn't realized how much hot air balloon competitions are influenced by the weather. Despite this, I saw competitors making efforts to ensure visitors could still have a good time, and many volunteers handling operations, cleaning, and more. I truly felt the strong local pride and passion to boost Saga through balloons.

Comments from the partner organization

-Thank you so much for arranging this kind of opportunity.

Comments from the staff member responsible

This initiative began with the aim of creating an event that would offer equal learning opportunities to children from families who rarely have the chance to travel, as well as to parents and children within Saga Prefecture. The goal was to let them discover the wonders of Saga, making them think, 'Saga is amazing!' and 'I want to continue living here!' We held the 'Sugoizo SAGA! Parent-Child Balloon Challenge Experience' during the Saga International Balloon Fiesta, one of Saga Prefecture's biggest events. Unfortunately, some activities were restricted due to the unfavorable weather, but we welcomed a record-breaking 71 general participants. We were able to see many smiles on the children's faces while they learned about Saga's culture.
